What a coincidence! I snagged one at work last week. It's only the X-Fi Xtrememusic version, but I got it for about $20. From what I know, the Xtrememusic version is the same as the Xtremegamer, but with additional software. There are 2 versions that have a larger onboard RAM capacity, but those are the highest end ones. The Xtrememusic, Xtremegamer, and Fatality one you got are the same with different addons. Did Creative have to make it so difficult?

Yay for marketting! I hate it when companies do that with product lines o_O; having a thousand versions of the same product with fairly trivial differences. Hmmm what happened to abiding by the "k.i.s.s principle?"

The RAM admitedly, is only utilized in a handful of games (BF2, BF2142, F.E.A.R, a few more maybe)...so the extra $100 premium that I paid for the expensive edition was me wanting a shiny pretty. But ooooh is it nice!

I still need to try it out with BF 2142 and HL2, just haven't been in a "shooter mood" (ended up picking up some unfinished PS2 games instead, before I forget where I left off and have to start the game over).
